After the announcement of the results, Hery Rajaonarimampianina expressed his thanks to the Malagasy people. He said that this victory is already satisfactory but it remains provisional. He wished that "this expectation is made in calm and serenity", according to L'Express of Madagascar newspaper.
Indeed, the Special Electoral Court (CES) is responsible for proclaiming the final results in a fortnight's time.

Hery Rajaonarimampianina, 55 years old, is a former Minister of Finance. He is supported by the outgoing president, Andry Rajoelina.
The new president is an accountant by profession and was educated at Canada. Jean Louis Robinson and his colleagues did not attend the announcement of provisional results by the INEC-T (Independent National Electoral Commission for the transition).
Note that since the election of December 20, candidate Robinson did not fail to denounce electoral fraud and requested a recount.
