The new President, Hery Rajaonarimampianina, repeated word for word in his inaugural speech, last Saturday, in the Mahamasina Stadium of Tananarive part of a speech by the former French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, delivered at the 2007 presidential campaign.

Plagiarism of Hery Rajaonarimampianina was according to political observers an important milestone of his intervention, in which the new Malagasy president discussed with the strength of the emotion the political philosophy of his term, with as cornerstone national reconciliation in Madagascar, after five years of infighting at the top of the State, as reported by the newspaper Le Parisien.

Hery Rajaonarimampianina said at the podium: "I asked my friends who have accompanied me to let me free, free to move towards others, one who was never my friend, who never belonged to our camp, our political family, who sometimes has fought us so far. Because when it comes to Madagascar, there is more camp".

Nicolas Sarkozy had already had the same words at the Mutualité in Paris, in February 2007 speaking of France.
