Madagascar: Free consultations of Ophthalmology in the heart of Tananarive

The association philanthropic of Lions Sight First Madagascar (LSFM) fighting blindness in the island held on Saturday on the forecourt of the Town Hall of Analakely in Tananarive of free consultations of Ophthalmology for over 600 persons within the framework of the world day of the view.

The diabetes screening and management of blood pressure were also on the agenda of the charity day.

"Diabetes and high blood pressure can cause blindness. Thus we chose to work with Malagasy Association against diabetes and doctors Malagasy Cardiovascular Society," said a member of the Lions Sight First Madagascar.

People with sight problems could well get glasses sold at an affordable price and request the authorities to the operation is repeated every month, as related by the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.

As a reminder, the Lions Sight First Madagascar aims to fight against blindness and vision improvement, and provide assistance to local poor, and, with the approval of the Malagasy Ministry of Health.
