Madagascar: Former president, Marc Ravalomanana, conditioning support for his movement to Jean-Louis Robinson upon his return in the island
After the disqualification of Lalao Ravalomanana considered a disposal policy by the former deposed president in 2009 and in exile on the side of South Africa, Marc Ravalomanana has formalized the choice of his movement on the candidate to support for the first round of the presidential elections of October 25.

Having no official candidate to represent its movement, Marc Ravalomanana gives its support to Jean-Louis Robinson, and, despite pressure from some supporters in the island who initially did not want to support any candidate in the Malagasy presidential election.

"Jean-Louis Robinson has worked with me. He is a doctor and he knows the sore that plague the country", announced Marc Ravalomanana this weekend.

Marc Ravalomanana has however conditioned his support to the candidate Jean-Louis Robinson on his return to Madagascar, as the newspaper the Express Madagascar relates.

"We participate in the elections and support a candidate of our choice and "Dada"[nickname] can return", said Marc Ravalomanana.

The return of the former Malagasy president Marc Ravalomanana was thus negotiated with representatives of the SADC (Southern Africa Development Community) at the Summit of the Troika on 11 and 12 September in Windhoek Namibia.

SADC has already called in a statement for the return of political exiles in Madagascar, including that of Marc Ravalomanana.
