Madagascar: Extensive reforestation campaign to save the forests ecosystem
The Ministry of Environment of Madagascar plans to launch in the coming days an extensive reforestation campaign over 5 years and save the country's forests and ecosystem currently seriously threatened.
 
Rosewood and ebony will be reintroduced in numbers in natural areas to regenerate biodiversity. Jacaranda trees, triad palms, royal palms and frênes are also planted in urban environment to beautify and oxygenate cities again.
 
Slash and burn agriculture and charcoal production gnaw each year a large area of forest ecological lung of Madagascar.
