Madagascar: Earthquake of magnitude 5, 3 in Tulear
An earthquake of magnitude 5, 3 on Richter scale has touched Saturday, at 2 a.m. the town of Tulear in the south west of Madagascar and its surroundings.
 
The seism has lasted for about thirty seconds and the earth tremor was felt within 175km in the south of the Big Island around the epicenter situated at Tulear.
 
No casualties were to be deplored and buildings have withstood the earthquake. But many windows were shattered by the shock wave in Tulear. The local population was panicked, woke up out of bed by the earthquake.
