Madagascar: Discontent among bikers, the motorcycle license is now required for all cylinder capacities
To cope with the increasing number of motorbikes that clog the traffic in the cities of Madagascar, the Ministry of Transport has decided to require a license for all motorcycles traveling in the Big Island.

For a real mess administrative rule in Madagascar since only 15% of motorcycles are duly registered with the local authorities.

Henceforth from the second quarter of 2013, drivers of two-wheelers in Madagascar will be presented at the controls of the police officers a series of regulatory documents to use their motorized vehicles on the roads.

Insurance, invoice, license and registration will now be required to travel to Madagascar.

"The bikes are illegal sources of insecurity and accident, because drivers do not know the rules of the road. We are currently updating the code, which dates from 1962. Obligation of permits for motorcycles is in our line of sight, in the second quarter", said an official with the Ministry of Transportation website lexpressmada.com.

On the side of the street, the measure remains in the craw of many riders accustomed to a system where everything was possible before.

A motorcyclist embittered by the new rules will be in effect during the second quarter in 2013 even states that the department should do the same with bicycles and carts...
