The return of former president Didier Ratsiraka must take place within the coming days according to his supporters of AREMA (the vanguard for the renovation of Madagascar).

Didier Ratsiraka 76 years old decided to return to Madagascar as soon as possible to make his contribution to the reconstruction of his country in crisis since 2009, prior to the presidential election next May.

Didier Ratsiraka wants to be associated to a meeting of all political stakeholders, initiated under the auspices of the Ecumenical Council of the Christian churches of Madagascar.The former president defends the idea of a genuine national reconciliation of all parties involved to get the Big Island out of the political deadlock, as lexpressmada.com relates.

"There will not be any election if we do not come to an agreement in resolving the crisis and the conduct of State Affairs ", said the prince Elakovelo, a leaders of the AREMA.

 Admiral Didier Ratsiraka has been head of Madagascar for 21 years from 1975 to 1991 and from 1993 to 2001, leading his country in the heart of a Socialist Communist revolution.
 
Didier Ratsiraka fled Madagascar in 2002 for exile in France, following the presidential elections of December 16, 2001. Marc Ravalomanana and Didier Ratsiraka disputed the result of democratic elections.
