The vast rural commune of Miarinarivo in central Madagascar is hit hard by a devastating epidemic of malaria.
 
The virulent tropical disease has made ​​thirty dead in the space of four months, in many remote villages of the municipality. Many children under the age of 13 years were identified among the victims.
"In January and February, almost every day there was a death. Altogether, we counted thirty, but this figure could double as some deaths are not reported to us", says an inhabitant of Miarinarivo the site lexpressmada.com.
