The President of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina, who could not run for the highest office in Madagascar has now set his sights on the general elections on December 20 which are held in conjunction with the second round of the presidential election.

117 candidates of a political platform acquired entirely to his cause, MAPAR, which stands for "With the president Andry Rajoelina", are presented by universal suffrage to conquer their seat in the next National Assembly.

Andry Rajoelina was able to attend for nearly 3 hours, on Sunday at the Coliseum of Antsonjombe (Tananarive) at the ceremony of presentation of the candidates of the MAPAR, without however intervening publicly.

The clear objective by Andry Rajoelina is to block the road on the political spectrum Malagasy candidates backed by the movement of his eternal political rival, former Malagasy president ousted in 2009, Marc Ravalomanana.

Andry Rajoelina account to put all his weight for his decisive electoral win the legislative battle, as indicated by the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.

As a reminder, the President of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina, is allowed to be present during the election campaign his supporters via a decree issued in early August.
