Madagascar: Andry Rajoelina copes with the international pressure, "I was born here and this is where I will die"
The President of the Transition, Andry Rajoelina, a candidate in the presidential election in Madagascar to be held in all likelihood on August 23, after having been scheduled for July 24, remained silent for a few days, against international pressure increasingly asking him to give up the nomination to run for the highest office in his country, as the former president Didier Ratsiraka and Lalao Ravalomanana.

When moving to Tulear, in southern Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina has sharply criticized those who want to "confiscate the right to choose their leaders in Madagascar".

The withdrawal of the three candidates would bring, according to the strong man of the Transition, a popular disaffection vote in polls, with a low rate of participation which will discredit accordingly the democratic election results ahead as related lexpressmada.com.

"It is the right of every citizen to choose the one who will lead his country, without exception ... I was born here and this is where I will die", said Andry Rajoelina.
