Madagascar: Air Madagascar plans to replace two Boeing 737s by Avro aircraft

Officials of the airline company Air Madagascar reflect the opportunity to replace the two Boeing 737s (130 seats each) whose lease expires in December by two aircraft Avro RJ and can accommodate 85 passengers.

If the negotiations are successful, the first engine aircraft on lease for two years should land in the island at the end of October, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.

"It is possible to renew the contract of these two Boeing, but they are outdated, so that operating expenses including fuel and maintenance are high. In addition, the Boeing new generation are not suitable for our infrastructure. After studying several options, the Avro aircraft responded to the financial and technical criteria", one of the leaders of the Malagasy national airline said.
