Madagascar: Aéroports de Paris will operate the airports of Ivato and Fascène

The management of airports of Tananarive and Nosy Be will soon be placed under the public-private partnership with a consortium headed by Aéroports de Paris (ADP).
ADP is thus considering the construction of a new terminal at Ivato Airport with an announced capacity of 1.5 million passengers as well as the lengthening of the runway of Fascène airport on the coastal island of Nosy- be and which will also feature a new terminal that can ultimately accommodate one million passengers.
In a statement, ADP puts forward that its subsidiary Aéroports de Paris Management, Bouygues Bâtiment International, Colas Madagascar and Meridiam, have been selected by the Malagasy government as "provisional allottees of public-private partnership contract relating to the concession of of Ivato International airport in Tananarive and Fascene at Nosy-Be".
The Ivato airport welcomed 814,000 passengers in 2014, while the airport of Fascene in Nosy Be counted 184,000 passengers on its side, almost two-thirds of international passengers at both airports.
