Madagascar AGOA: Over 3 million dollars in trade in the first quarter 2015




The volume of trade exchange in the wake of AGOA is assessed for the three months of 2015 to more than 3 million. The Island reinstated in June 2014 the African Growth and Opportunity Act, which allows exemption of customs duties for products of the Malagasy textile industry towards the United States
 
The Malagasy authorities expect the creation of approximately 200,000 employment in the country over five years.
 
As a reminder, some thirty Sub Saharan African countries benefit from AGOA for their export products of textiles towards the United States.
