Madagascar: A suspect under escort shot by the police while trying to escape, the victim's family speaks of summary execution
The gendarmes of Ankadi­lalana have made use of their weapons at Andranobevava, on the outskirts of Tananarive, to stop the escape of a suspect regarded as potentially dangerous and involved in a criminal association.

The 29 years old man exercising the profession of mobile phones reparation  fell under the bullets of gendarmes while was supposed to accompany them to an alleged accomplice, on Tuesday around 3:30 in the morning, after an inquiry.

However, the official version of the constabulary was quickly denied by the family of the victim who lives Ankadikely Ilafy.

The relatives of the young man in turn evoke a summary execution and say that the victim was arrested on Tuesday evening just after midnight by the police who were looking for weapons at the suspect's residence.

Having found nothing in the victim's home, the police embarked the young man forcibly for inquiry.

Relatives also accuse the police of stealing a large sum of money during the summary search and that one of the gendarmes also stated that his family was not going to see him alive again, according to the newspaper the L'Express of Madagascar.
