Madagascar: A policeman jailed for theft of heavy caliber ammunition
A sub police officer was arrested this past weekend in the Madagascar at the gendarmerie headquarters. The military has been placed in custody at Antanimora prison in Antananarivo.

The Adjutant is suspected of stealing ammunition from the Armory inventory and supplied a parallel market in heavy caliber ammunition, sold at 10,000 ariary Unity (3.35 euro).

During his arrest, the suspect was in possession of 20 cartridges for Kalashnikov rifles used by organized crime to Madagascar. 

 For several months, investigators are on the trail of a vast network of trafficking of ammunition in the Malagasy force and now want to trace back to get their hands on the presumed sponsors.
