Madagascar: A new American Ambassador stationed in the island
 
The new U.S. Ambassador in Madagascar, Robert Yamate, should take his post shortly in Tananarive in replacement of Niels Marquardt who left the island in June 2010.
 
Robert Yamate was previously based in Dakar in Senegal as Assistant of the Chargé d'affaires and has already exercised in Sapia in Samoa as Chargé d'affaires and consular officer in Tokyo at Japan.
 
The diplomat has also experienced many posts at the four corners of the planet as at Budapest (Hungary), Montreal (Canada), Taipei (Taiwan), Harare (Zimbabwe) and Geneva (Switzerland).
 
Robert Yamate is expressed easily in three foreign languages Japanese, Hungarian, and french, as reported by the Tananews site.
