Madagascar: A man died from rabies after being bitten by a stray dog in Tananarive
A man of about thirty years old died this Monday after being bitten by a dog bearing animal rabies in a residential area of Ivandry at Tananarive.

Four other people bitten by the same animal are out of or already under rabies treatment at the Pasteur Institute of Madagascar and 65 people who visited the 30 years old dead man, have been vaccinated as prevention by the health authorities of the Big Island.

Posters were plastered in the Ivandry neighborhood to sensitize the local population about the danger of stray dogs. "All owners of dogs must vaccinate their animals. Stray dogs will be eliminated", indicate the information posters.
