Madagascar: A devastating epidemic of paludisme killed 24 children
The remote town of Fiadanana in the North East of Madagascar was hit by a severe epidemic of paludisme in an aggressive form in a very localized home.

The health authorities are on high alert in the field to confirm this hypothesis and to prevent the risk of contagion in the local population.

This devastating epidemic has killed 24 young children. Fatal cases of paludisme are not rare on the Big Island where in May 2012, 40 people died from paludisme in southern Madagascar.
