Madagascar: A Pakistani man arrested for theft of gold in a mining operation for nearly 45,000 euros
A 24 year old Pakistani citizen was arrested at Ivato International Airport earlier last week, suspected of being the perpetrator of the theft of two kilos of gold in a mining operation of Mahajanga while he tried to leave the territory of Madagascar.

The young man also accused of having made ​​off with other valuable objects and a sum of 2.4 million ariarys (822 euros), accepted the facts alleged against him.

The Pakistani citizen said to the police that the two kilograms of gold flights are no longer in his possession and have already been sold in Behoririka to two of his compatriots for 130 million ariary (44.576 euros).

On this sale, he would have got only 40 million ariarys (13,715 euros), with the remainder to be paid to him upon his arrival in Pakistan.
