Madagascar: 455 million euros soon released by the European Union to the island




Leonidas Tezapsidis, Ambassador of the European Union in Madagascar has recently recalled that under the 11th European Development Fund, Madagascar could receive 455 million euros non-refundable for the period 2014-2020 with a first release of funds in December.
 
The first months of the Presidency of Hery Rajaonarimampianina and the appointment of the Government of Roger Kolo were welcomed by the European authorities after the five years of the Transition Plan, as indicated in the newspaper Le Quotidien of Madagascar.
 
These funds will be invested in three priority areas that will be defined upstream by the Malagasy authorities, as requested by the European Union to the new power in place in the island.
