Madagascar: 40 million dollars on the part of the African Development Bank for the rehabilitation of the RN9 between Tulear and Befandriana




Representatives of the African Development Bank (ADB) have paid a visit last weekend to the Minister of public works of Madagascar, Roland Ratsiraka, in connection with the release for the island of the African Development Fund (FAD) for the period 2014-2016.
 
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of public works, Roland Ratsiraka, announced that Madagascar would receive 40 million dollars for the rehabilitation of national route 9 linking currently Tuléar to Befandriana.
 
The throughway will also be extended to the town of Morondava, with a passage also on the side of Morombe, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Magascar.
 
"With the integrated approach, our actions are not only limited to the construction of infrastructures, but also affect the needs of the populations. For example, in addition to the rehabilitation of the RN 9, schools will also be built in some villages located throughout this area", said Abdelkrim Becca, permanent representative of BAD in Madagascar.
