Madagascar: 300 observers from SADC to oversee the various election polls
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) has decided to deploy 300 observers under different electoral ballots which will be held in Madagascar with 7.7 million voters are called to the polls.

A measure that was directly announced Wednesday, to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ulrich Andriantiana by representatives of the electoral commission of SADC moved to Tananarive.

50 early observers are thus expected in the coming days in the island with the issuance of a visa of courtesy for a period of six months on the part of the Malagasy authorities.

As a reminder, the first round of the presidential election will take place on 25 October 2013, with 33 candidates and the second round of polling is set to December 20, 2013, with the holding on the same day of the Malagasy Parliamentary elections.

The Southern African development community also announced the release of a financial envelope of 7.3 million euro for the logistical organization of the various polls, as indicated in the site midi - madagasikara.mg.
