Madagascar: 3 deaths in the wake of an active low pressure zone on the northwest of the island




The strong convective instability in the wake of an active low pressure zone, associated with heavy rains, gusts of wind and storms, affecting the northwest coast of Madagascar in recent days has already caused the death of three people on the spot.
 
Earlier that week, a mother was victim of lightning in the Ambohitsaratelo village in the region of Bongolava.
 
Two deaths were also recorded in the Atsimo-Andrefana region, with a second victim electrocuted by the falling of an electric pylon and a child was washed away by the waves of a river in flood.
 
Four others were also injured during this bad weather, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.
