Madagascar: 250 houses of gold miners go up in smoke
A major fire broke out on Wednesday in the town of Firavahana in the quarry Mangatany located in the heart of the region Bongolava in the Central West of Madagascar.

250 houses belonging to gold miners of the site and are attached to each other have been reduced to ashes.

No casualties have been experienced in this vast fire that lasted over two hours. Only ten people suffer from minor burns.

1,100 victims are now deprived of roof in Mangatany quarry. 

A child who has cooked and then forgetting to turn off the fire under the pots is the cause of the fire, as shown in the newspaper L'Express of Madagascar.
