Madagascar: 20.150 offices opened in the Island for the communal elections in late July 2015




The National Independent Electoral Commission of the transition (CENI-T) recently reported that 20,150 polling stations will be opened for the communal elections of 31 July 2015.
 
1,693 communes are thus counted in the Island, 140 new communities set up since the end of January 2015.
 
Furthermore, the support program to the electoral cycle in Madagascar (PACEM) will benefit from a financial envelope allocated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to the tune of 1.25 million euros for the printing ballots and sheets for records.
