17 thieves of zebus (dahalo) have been slaughtered, Monday, by gendarmes in Mangataboahangy-Ambato­finandrahana, at the gateway to the South of Madagascar, during a violent clash with the police, after the theft of about 130 cattle in the village of Mangataboahangy.

About 70 dahalo, armed with Kalashnikovs and 36 Mas rifles did not hesitate to open fire on the quarantine of police of several brigades in the region who came to catch them.
