Intense tropical cyclone Felleng: The Prefecture of Reunion calls for prudence when traveling



In a statement issued at 18 h 20 this Wednesday, January 30, 2013, the prefecture of the Reunion warned the population to be cautious in their movements at approach the intense tropical cyclone Felleng.

Intense tropical cyclone "Felleng" - Pre-cyclone warning: information point
 
The intense tropical cyclone "Felleng" is approaching our shores. At 16h this Wednesday 30 January, it was located 600 km North-West of Reunion by 16.1 degrees south and 52.7 degrees East, with a closest approach planned for Friday morning.
In the meantime, the precipitation is expected. As a reminder, La Reunion is already placed on vigilance because of heavy swells and will be on heavy rains alert as from 19h.
Traffic on the primary and secondary networks is already severely degraded. It is recommended to everyone to be extremely cautious when traveling.
Concerning air traffic, flight planning may be considered by companies during the day of tomorrow. Users are invited to get closer.
Depending on local weather conditions the mayors may have to make disposition on the spring of their community.
