Comoros: The putschists sentenced to prison terms ranging from 22 months in prison and 10 years imprisonment




As part of the case of the attempted coup d'état committed on April 20, 2013 in the Comoros to overthrow the Comorian President Ikililou Dhoinine, the special court of the State Security has recently sentenced ten defendants to prison terms ranging from 22 months to 10 years imprisonment.
 
Fifteen alleged putschists were thus prosecuted for fomenting a destabilization of the regime. Two acquittals and one release were also reported.
 
Six former Congolese military and a Chadian convicted in this case affecting the internal security of the Comorian State will conduct all of their prison sentence in the Comoros.
