Comoros: The NGO doctors of Indian Ocean has treated more than 7600 patients on the island of Anjouan




A mission composed of thirty physicians of the non-governmental organisation doctors of the Indian Ocean (MOI), formerly known under the name of Association health of Réunion (ASR) and which saw the light of day in 1987, moved on the island of Anjouan from March 25 to April 2, 2014. 

7.690 patients have undergone various treatments and medical procedures including in dental surgery, Pediatrics, cardiology, ophthalmology, ophthalmology and gastroenterology.
 
The overall cost of this humanitarian mission is encrypted to some 70,000 euro, as reported by the newspaper La Gazette des Comores.
 
The President of the NGO doctors of Indian Ocean, Firoze Koytcha, "fully satisfied with" the mission recalled that the MOI went to the Comoros for the 8th time in a row.
