Comoros: The Islamic Development Bank is financing the archipelago to the tune of 42 million euro
The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) granted a budget of 42 million euro to finance several projects in the Comoros, at its annual meeting held this year in Dushanbe in Tajikistan.

"With this background, we will be able to finance several projects in various sectors for the development of the country", said Mohamed Ali Soilih, Comorian Minister of Finance.

The IDB has also agreed to reschedule the Comorian debt over 30 years, when the Comoros have just reach the completion point of the HIPC (Editor's note: Heavily Indebted Poor Countries), as shown in lagazettedescomores.com site.

The Comorian authorities intend in the near future to submit to the IDB priority projects for the development and validate the archipelago and the funding obtained.
