Comoros: Technical reception of the new hospital of Anjouan built by China




 
The construction of the new hospital Bambao-mtsanga on the island of Anjouan, whose construction had begun in May 2012 and which had been entrusted to a Chinese company, is now complete.
 
The Chinese Ambassador to Comoros, Xiao Ming, and the Vice President in charge of the Ministry of health of the Comoros archipelago, Fouad McFadden, signed at the end of last week the document of technical acceptance of the establishment before a next inauguration scheduled for next September.
 
106 beds, a Pediatrics and Gynecology  service as well as a home of the emergency unit and two operating blocks are among others grouped within the new hospital of Bambao-mtsanga which cost about 4 billion Comorian francs (8.1 million euros), as reported by the Comorian newspaper Alwatwan.
 
"This inauguration (note: technical Reception) is a new page in the history of cooperative relations between the Republic of China and the Union of Comoros," said Xiao Ming also  recalling that "public health is always a priority in sino-comorienne cooperation".
