Comoros: Japan offers rice to the archipelago for more than 1.6 million euros




Japanese Ambassador in the Comoros, Ryuhei Hosoya has signed last week with the Comorian authorities, food assistance in rice to the tune of 800 million Comorian francs, slightly over 1.6 million euro.
 
The rice is subsequently sold on the local market at affordable prices for the consumer and the Comorian sum collected will be used to finance social projects at the heart of the archipelago. This is the sixth time since 2008 that Japan organizes such a donation.
