Comoros: An earthquake of magnitude 4.8- hit the North of the island of Anjouan




An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale was felt Wednesday evening, 18 seconds, shortly before 11 p.m by the inhabitants of the North of the island of Anjouan, including Mutsamudu and Ouani.

Two aftershocks were then recorded, without causing damage or victims according to the first witness on the spot.
 
The Director-general of civil security, Hamid Soule, nevertheless called the population of Anjouan to keep calm and not give in to panic, as reported by Kwezi Television.
