AirAsia X Inaugural flight



A new airline is coming to Mauritius from the 4th of october.

AirAsia X, the long-haul low cost affiliate of AirAsia, the World’s Best Low Cost Airline for 8 consecutive years, is expanding its flight network to the African region with three weekly direct non-stop flights to Mauritius from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia commencing 4 October 2016.
 
On the occasion, Honourable Charles Gaëtan Xavier Luc Duval, Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and External Communications for the Republic of Mauritius will be welcoming guests on board the inaugural flight. His Excellency Mr Issop Pattel, High Commissioner of Mauritius to Malaysia; Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz, Chairman of AirAsia X Berhad; Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Group CEO of AirAsia X; Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Group CEO of AirAsia; Dato’ Fam Lee Ee, Board of Director for AirAsia X Berhad; Kathleen Tan, President of North Asia, AirAsia and Benyamin Ismail, CEO of AirAsia X Berhad will also be present at the ceremony.

The 7h flight will be done on Airbus A330 aircrafts. They will leave Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 at 10:25 to land at 13:25 in Mauritius.
