A runaway Comorian swimmer sentenced to 8 months imprisonment in Great Britain
A young swimmer Sihame Ayouba Ali, who participated in the Olympic Games in London in August 2012, under the flag of the Comoros did not return with her delegation to the archipelago after the competitions.

Last October, the young woman of twenty years was arrested by the British police as she tries to reach France in possession of a false French passport.

In her defense, Sihame Ali Ayouba explains that she had prematurely left the Olympic village in order to escape the Comoros where she was to be married to a polygamous man of 60 years after being sold by her family. Rejecting this forced union is as equivalent as to sign her death warrant Comoros.

The British court is sensitive to statements of the young swimmer, but Ali Sihame Ayouba was sentenced to eight months imprisonment, accompanied by a deportation to the Comoros to the conclusion of her sentence.

The lawyers of the girl intend to use all possible legal recourse as that the forced marriage of Ali Sihame Ayouba in Comoros could enable her to obtain the right to asylum in Great Britain.
